Tate & Lyle Sweetens Life for GI dieters

| Filed in:
Tate & Lyle, is introducing a new Fruit Sugar which is a good choice for anyone following a GI-based diet. Made entirely from fructose – which is found naturally in plants and fruits – Tate & Lyle Fruit Sugar has a low Glycaemic Index (GI) rating. This means its energy is absorbed more slowly by the body. Because it is made entirely from fructose, it has a sweeter taste, so less is needed in tea, coffee or on cereals. Tate & Lyle Fruit Sugar comes in a convenient re-sealable 250g bag and is available from Sainsbury’s and Waitrose from February 2005 at £0.94 a pack. Following this combination, we now have more than 5,000 employees working in around 75 locations in 39 countries, serving customers in more than 120 countries. Science, Solutions, Society is our brand promise and how we will achieve our purpose of Transforming Lives through the Science of Food. By living our purpose, we believe we can successfully grow our business and have a positive impact on society. We live our purpose in three ways, by supporting healthy living, building thriving communities and caring for our planet.
