We’re delighted to learn that our Payroll team have recently been announced winners of the Global Payroll Associations' Global Payroll Team of the Year 2020.
The Global Payroll Awards are an annual event that celebrates and rewards technical excellence, professional development, and teamwork in the Global Payroll industry. This year’s was a fiercely fought competition, with the judges looking for a team demonstrating exceptional teamwork, collaboration and communication across departments, technical excellence and a results-driven ethos. The winning team was asked to demonstrate their commitment to delivery, problem solving and continuous improvements in global payroll performance.
Among the great work that got our Payroll team noticed and crowned winners was the development of simplified and centralised payroll activity, including creating consistent approaches to common activities, and a more streamlined, time and cost-efficient model (in particular, the team’s support of our Workday launch back in January). Many of the opportunities to implement change were identified by the Payroll and Finance teams, demonstrating a group-wide commitment to continuous improvement.
Julie Finlay, Global Head of Payroll, said of the win: "I'm extremely proud of everything Payroll achieve globally as a team. This award recognises the exceptional commitment across our regions to not only ensure everyone is paid accurately and on-time, but to finding ways to improve how we deliver payroll. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank our partners in the global HR team, Finance and ISIT. Strong cross functional relationships are key to us and I value greatly your ongoing support. Thank you, and congratulations to the team!"
Laura Hagan, Chief Human Resource Officer, said of the win: "Huge congratulations to the Payroll team for receiving this award. This year has been tough and despite its challenges the team continues to work together to deliver exceptional performance. I'm so impressed and proud of their continued dedication and teamwork - a very well-deserved win!"
