To make sure you’re always performing to your best ability, you’ll create and work on an individual development plan in partnership with your manager. This will include 360 feedback, as well as formal training. But we believe very strongly in the 70:20:10 approach to learning – in which the majority of your learning will be informal and hands-on (70%), with peer support and personal reflection (20%) coming above formal workshops (10%).

In essence, we are creating a learning environment in which you have access to a wide range of opportunities and tools tailored to your individual learning style and needs. That’s why we developed our new MyDevelopment portal, an online gateway to a massive resource of articles, podcasts, videos and more that you can customise to suit your individual development plan. This is complemented by the Tate & Lyle Academy, a range of formal programmes focused on the skills we need to develop the Company.
